SONG Yu Min

SONG Yu Min was born in 1940 in Hebei Province, China and is more affectionately known as the “Poet of Colours”; hailed for revolutionising Chinese ink painting by applying striking colours layer by layer onto the canvas. SONG was awarded the title of “National First Class Artist”, the highest and most prestigious honour granted by the PRC government to an artist, and his large-scale masterpieces grace the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. Also highly acclaimed internationally, SONG has held numerous exhibitions in China, Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan, France, Germany, Italy and the USA.
